Course Description: The study of MYP language B aims to encourage in the student a respect for and understanding of the English language and culture, and to provide a skills base to facilitate further language learning. Language B develops skills across four areas: listening, speaking, reading and writing. This course uses a variety of types of texts and situations to develop language skills.Over the duration of the course, students will use speeches, short stories, novels, plays, poetry and media sources to develop language skills. Summative assessments will include essays, poems, oral activities, presentations, and projects.
